Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Cloudline Software Ltd. (formerly ReviewTec Software Ltd.), an Alberta corporation, which owns and operates SeniorClarity. In this document, ‘we,’ ‘us,’ and ‘our’ refer to Cloudline Software Ltd.

These terms apply when you use seniorclarity.com ("SeniorClarity"), create an account, or manage a care home listing. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy page explains how we handle personal information.

What SeniorClarity is

SeniorClarity is an information directory of residential senior care homes and residences in Canada and the United States. We are not a care provider, care assessor, placement or referral agency, or a health, legal or financial adviser. Nothing on the site is a recommendation of any care home or a statement that a care home is suitable for a particular person.

Listing information

We build listings from official, operator and other sources and review them before publication, and we show where important details came from. Information can still be incomplete or out of date, and care homes change their care, pricing, availability and licensing. Always confirm care, pricing, availability, licensing and suitability directly with the care home and the relevant authority before making a decision.

If you see something wrong, please tell us. We may correct, update, hide or remove any listing at our discretion.

Accounts

You may browse without an account. If you create one, give accurate information, keep your sign-in private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or other people at risk.

Care providers

If you claim a listing, submit a new listing or propose changes, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that care home and that what you submit is accurate and not misleading. Staff review claims and changes before granting access or publishing them, and we may decline or reverse them. Creating an account does not by itself give you control of a listing.

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for layout, and publish it on the site and in related search and sharing features for as long as it is part of the directory, and for a reasonable period afterwards in backups and records.

Sponsored placement

Care homes may be offered a paid or complimentary Sponsored spot. Sponsored cards are clearly labeled. Sponsorship does not change organic ranking, eligibility or the facts on a profile, and it is not an endorsement. Paid sponsorships are monthly subscriptions processed by our payment provider and are governed by the offer you accept and the sponsorship guide. No number of views, inquiries, tours or move-ins is guaranteed.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the site. In particular, do not: submit false, misleading or unlawful content; impersonate a person or care home; access accounts or data that are not yours; interfere with the site's security or operation; or copy the directory in bulk by automated means, except for ordinary search-engine indexing that follows our robots rules.

Our content and links

The site's design, text, compilations and software belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for decisions made in reliance on listing information. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and CA$100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.

Indemnity for providers

If you act for a care home, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you submit or from your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Material changes apply from the date they are posted; continuing to use the site after that means you accept them. Changes to a paid sponsorship's price follow its own offer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, unless the consumer-protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
