Privacy at SeniorClarity

SeniorClarity helps people in Canada and the United States explore senior living. You can search listings, read guides and compare care homes without creating an account. A personal or family account is optional.

Cloudline Software Ltd. (formerly ReviewTec Software Ltd.), an Alberta corporation, owns and operates SeniorClarity and is its data controller. In this document, ‘we,’ ‘us,’ and ‘our’ refer to Cloudline Software Ltd.

Browsing the site

Your public comparison stays in your browser unless you choose to share its link. We count visits in daily totals to understand which public pages are useful. Our own traffic tables hold page paths, broad referral sources and counts, not visitors' IP addresses, user agents or individual browsing histories. We remove those daily aggregate rows after 400 days.

Like other websites, the service must receive technical request information, including your IP address, to deliver pages and protect access. Hosting and security systems may process that information separately from our daily traffic totals.

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits and interactions across the site. It may receive page URLs, page titles, browser and device information, and referral information. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy.

Accounts and sign-in

If you create an account, we keep the name and email address you provide and the information needed to sign you in. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than readable passwords. If you choose Google sign-in, Google confirms your identity to us. Necessary, time-limited cookies keep your account session working.

Services that help run SeniorClarity

Microsoft Azure hosts the site and its account and listing databases. If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that sign-in step; SeniorClarity does not save Google access tokens. Some public listing galleries use photos supplied through Google Places. These services process the information needed to provide their features.

Saved care homes and plans

Saving is optional. Your saved care homes and plans belong to your signed-in account; providers do not receive your private notes or plans. Read what is stored, how long it remains, and how to clear it before using saved planning. Please do not enter diagnoses, medications, medical records or other sensitive personal details in notes.

Questions and tour requests

If you ask a question or request a tour, we save the name, contact details, preferred time (if provided) and message you submit. We remove the inquiry record stored by SeniorClarity in a daily cleanup once it is older than 180 days; delays or backlogs may keep it longer.

When a care home has a verified manager on SeniorClarity, we email the inquiry to that manager. Otherwise, our team receives it and may forward it to the care home or reply to you. Email copies sent to a verified manager or our team are separate and are not removed by this cleanup.

Email acceptance does not confirm that a care home received or read your inquiry. Please do not include medical details in the message.

Provider requests

If you submit a provider claim or listing request, staff review the details you provide before granting listing access or publishing changes. Creating a provider account alone does not grant control of a care home listing. Published listing information can be viewed by anyone.

Questions about your information

Contact SeniorClarity support to ask about your account or request its deletion. We need to verify that a request comes from the account owner before acting on it. Clearing saved planning is separate from deleting an account. Our Terms of Use also apply.
