Independent living services include all utilities except telephone and wireless internet, extended basic cable, twice-monthly housekeeping, trash removal, maintenance, groundskeeping and snow removal.

Weekly transportation goes to medical and financial appointments in the Kalamazoo and Portage area and to shopping and churches. Chaplain services are offered.

The community has two dining spaces. A Cafe overlooking the central courtyard gardens serves breakfast and lunch, and the Dining Room serves lunch and dinner.

Shared spaces & amenities

Independent living residents have membership in the Fitness and Aquatic Centers and use of the Village Clubhouse, which has indoor and outdoor gathering areas, a game room and a classroom. Pets are welcome and guest accommodations are available.

The campus is minutes from Western Michigan University. Shopping, dining, parks, golf, the Kal Haven Trail and downtown Kalamazoo are all minutes away.
