About this community
eliseo is a Life Plan Community, also called a Continuing Care Retirement Community, in Tacoma that has served older adults for more than 80 years. Levels of care on the campus include independent living, assisted living and memory care, with on-site health care and rehabilitation. The campus covers 28 acres and includes a wellness and aquatic center, a therapy gym, several dining venues and art and woodworking studios.

Care & support
The rehabilitation team offers physical, occupational and speech and swallow therapy, along with ultrasound application and electrical stimulation, to inpatients and outpatients.
The senior therapy gym has therapy equipment in a homelike setting and is described as one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest.
Two chaplains provide counsel and prayer, and a daily chapel service is open to residents of all faith traditions.
Everyday life
The Catch-A-Ride program provides free on-campus transportation Monday through Friday, and off-campus transportation is offered by reservation for a fee.
A full salon on site offers haircuts, waxing, color and set, and permanents.
Dining & meals
The Atrium is a restaurant-style dining room offering three sit-down or takeout meals per day, and The Bistro serves daily soups and sandwiches in a casual setting.
Dining credits can be used at any eliseo dining venue, and all venues are open to residents’ family, friends and guests. Menus change often and resident input is welcome.
Activities & connection
The Life Enrichment Team plans activities and outings based on residents’ input, including bus trips, fishing excursions and picnics at Mt. Rainier. Weekly and monthly trips to shopping centers, banks and meals out are also provided.
On campus, residents can bake in a resident kitchen, make art, and enjoy entertainment such as string bands and professional dancers.
Fitness classes include T’ai Chi, PIYO, Cardio and Core, Zen Yoga, Strength and Balance and Aqua Fit.
Shared spaces & amenities
The Emerson Wellness and Clark Aquatic Center is a LEED-certified facility with a saltwater pool and spa, an exercise equipment room and an aerobic studio.
The campus also has Edwards Plaza, the Arneklev Garden with raised garden beds, and the Chihuly Family Art Center with a woodworking shop and textile, ceramic and painting studios.

The salon on site is fully accessible, and the garden beds are designed to suit different gardening needs and abilities.
