The Hawthorne enhanced assisted living apartments provide help with getting up, washing and dressing, and with organizing medications. Aides are on duty day and night.
A Registered Nurse is on duty or on call 24 hours a day in enhanced assisted living.
A Personal Emergency Response System is available to every resident, and on-site geriatricians and a medical lab are part of the campus.
Rooms & living spaces
Residence options include private single-story cottages, independent apartments and enhanced assisted living apartments. All living options feature fully equipped kitchens, personal storage space in the building and cable television.
The Hawthorne has 38 wheelchair-accessible one-bedroom apartments with a kitchenette, a walk-in shower, all utilities plus cable TV, and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.
Lawn care, snow removal, window washing and trash removal are taken care of for residents, and pets are welcome.
Dining & meals
The Briarwood Dining Room offers an à la carte menu with daily specials for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, and the casual Meadows Market Café serves soups and salads. A private dining room and catering are also available.
Enhanced assisted living includes breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week in the Hawthorne Dining Room, room service with a breakfast cart, and accommodation of state-approved dietary modifications such as no added salt.
