Care & support
Long-term care is provided for people with complex, unpredictable medical needs who cannot remain at home or in a supportive living setting. A Registered Nurse Care Leader oversees resident care and leads an interdisciplinary team.
The care team includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, health care aides, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreational therapists and social workers.
Staff help with morning and evening routines, meals, bathing and medication management, and 24-hour on-site care staff are present.
Rooms & living spaces
Residents live in private suites. Rooms are cleaned weekly and washrooms daily or as needed, and bedding, linens and towels are provided and laundered by AgeCare.
Families have access to a washer and dryer for personal items such as clothing.
Everyday life
Guests are welcome to visit at any time, day or night. Visits can take place in the resident's room or in a lounge, and family may take part in programs and events.
Dining & meals
Three meals a day plus snacks are served, prepared fresh daily and including homemade soups and baked goods. Meals can be eaten in the dining room or in the resident's suite.
Menus are planned by Red Seal executive chefs and dietitians. Vegetarian options, food textures matched to chewing and swallowing abilities, mealtime assistance and a secondary kitchen for a range of dietary needs are offered.
Guests are welcome to join for any meal, and meal tickets are available for visitors.
Activities & connection
Daily activities for the mind, body and soul are offered, and each neighbourhood has an activity lounge. Recreational therapists are part of the care team.
Shared spaces & amenities
The neighbourhoods are connected by Main Street, which has a hair salon, activity centre, general store, bistro, library and technology centre.
Spacious dining rooms and family lounges are available as common areas.
Accessibility
The building was designed for long-term care with wide hallways, handrails, barrier-free suites, accessible ensuite bathrooms and an emergency call system.
