Care staff are on-site around the clock, and each suite has a call bell system.

The Care Assist program offers a la carte wellness services and all-inclusive care packages, from light to heavy care, and residents can add or remove services as needs change.

Care Assist services include medication management, help with morning or evening routines, bathing or showering assistance, continence care, meal assistance, oxygen management and escort assistance to meals or activities.

A Health & Wellness Manager assesses each new resident before move-in to confirm the right level of care. The residence also has lab and pharmacy partners, and offers a respite program for short-term stays.

Suites come as studios, one-bedrooms, one-bedrooms with a den and two-bedrooms. Two-bedroom suites have a full kitchen with fridge and stove and two bathrooms, while other suites have a kitchenette.

Main-floor suites have 12-foot ceilings and walk-outs to the gardens, walking paths and patios.

Suites include grab bars, individual thermostat control, in-suite air-conditioning, cable TV, a telephone and Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome.

The monthly fee includes concierge service, weekly housekeeping, weekly linen service, utilities and transportation, including a courtesy car.

Residents have a personal emergency response pendant, access to staff 24/7, a security system and a personal mailbox. Laundry facilities are on site.

Optional services include in-suite meal delivery, personal laundry, outdoor parking, storage and a guest room.

Three daily meals are included, with daily menus and an a la carte menu. Special dietary needs are accommodated, and dining times are flexible.

The dining room has large picture windows overlooking the gardens and a grand piano, and a private dining room can be booked for family dinners or catered meals. Menus change with the four seasons.

The LiveNow life enrichment program includes chair yoga, aqua-fit, carpet bowling, wine and cheese nights, happy hours, live entertainment and outings to see the Blue Jays.

A shuttle bus takes residents on shopping trips, picnics and movie theatre trips, and residents can volunteer through the H.O.P.E Program. A Walking Club uses the outdoor paths.

On-site amenities include a therapeutic saltwater pool, a full-service hair salon, a pub, a fitness room, an indoor putting green, a movie theatre, a library and puzzle room, a country kitchen and an activity room.

The outdoor space has patios with seating, landscaped gardens, mature trees and walking paths, and a central courtyard that can be seen from the dining room.

The residence is in a residential Ajax neighbourhood near Kingston Road and Highway 401, within walking distance of many retailers, grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants. Lake Ontario waterfront parks are about a 10-minute drive south.
