The community offers independent living, assisted living, memory care and inclusive living in two concrete-constructed residences, The Oak and The Birch. It was recognized as Canada's first WELL v2 Gold Certified retirement community.

Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides are on site around the clock, and Registered Nurses are available during business hours for care planning and oversight.

Health care services include medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, nutrition and coordination with care providers.

Visiting providers include physicians, podiatrists, dentists, audiologists, massage therapists and chiropractors, with access to occupational therapy, physiotherapy and a dedicated pharmacy service. No full-time physician is employed on site, and residents may keep their own family physician.

Every suite includes in-suite laundry. Suites in The Oak have full kitchens, while The Birch has kitchenettes. Suites are rental only.

Memory care studios range from 460 to 560 square feet, one-bedroom and one-bedroom plus den suites from 672 to 882 square feet, and two-bedroom suites are 916 square feet. Suites for couples are available.

Dining venues on the main floor include an open-concept dining room, a private dining room for special occasions, a bistro with grab-and-go options and a licensed lounge. Meals can also be delivered to the suite.

Programming follows the 7 Dimensions of Wellness and includes performing arts and music in a dedicated theatre, art studio lessons and workshops, a community garden, weekly game nights, personal interest clubs and outside excursions.

Amenities include a fitness and wellness centre, an art and pottery studio, a woodwork shop, a theatre, a library, a spa and sauna, a beauty salon and a games area. Some fees may apply.

Location & getting around

The closest bus stop is right outside on Macleod Trail, and Heritage LRT Station is a short walk away. Weekly scheduled transportation goes to shopping malls and grocery stores, and the front desk can arrange a taxi or Access Calgary vehicle.
