Care & support
Team members are available 24 hours a day to help with bathing, dressing, medication reminders and other activities. The community states there is no limit on level of care.
Staff meet with each resident and family before move-in and at regular intervals afterward to set an Individualized Service Plan, which is monitored daily.
The service plan covers personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, showering, bathing, help with eating, continence management, mobility, socialization and medication management.
The on-site nurse manages as-needed medications and diabetic management, and staff are trained to help with transfers.
The memory care program is built around the individual and takes place in a separate environment designed for memory care. It includes 84 hours per week of specialized programming, with individualized assessments shared with families at care plan meetings.
Memory care includes a licensed nurse on site, trained resident assistants on site around the clock, weekly visits from a registered dietitian and social workers, and a personalized care plan reviewed by an interdisciplinary team with the resident and family.
The Adult Day Club is a non-medical, social program for guests in the earlier stages of the disease process, with care offered seven days a week and extended hours.
Rooms & living spaces
Residency is month-to-month, with no long-term lease and no buy-in.
Memory care residents have spacious rooms with blinds on all windows, daily housekeeping and laundry service, and utilities including gas, electricity, water, sewer and trash.
The memory care setting has an emergency call system and a residential layout with controlled access.
Dining & meals
Residents have three daily meals in the Sensations dining room, with meals made from scratch, table service, china and linen tablecloths and napkins.
The meal program uses table service rather than a cafeteria or tray format, which also makes dining more convenient for residents with limited mobility.
Menus emphasize leafy green vegetables and whole grains, and dining is supervised by a licensed dietitian.
In memory care, meals are served restaurant-style on a five-week menu cycle, and residents are seated with dining partners to encourage social connection.
Activities & connection
Activity coordinators are on staff seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and activities are scheduled according to each resident's cognitive level.
Programming includes music therapy, an individualized art program for people with memory impairment, pet therapy with visiting animals, monthly cultural themes and men's and women's clubs.
Residents take part in familiar life-skill tasks such as setting the dinner table, folding laundry and painting, and may bake bread.
Regular outings include shows, restaurants, sporting events and community events.
Memory care programming includes low-impact aerobics, dancing, a walking club, a gardening club, chair yoga, music programs, art and music therapy, book clubs and religious services.
Adult Day Club guests join outings to movies, sports events and restaurants.
Families receive weekly emails with photos of their loved one taking part in activities.
Shared spaces & amenities
A beauty salon and barber shop are on site.
The grounds are completely enclosed by a perimeter, so residents can walk around the community regularly.
Memory care residents have an indoor and outdoor courtyard with a walking path and patio.
Wi-Fi throughout the building supports webcam and video chat for residents, families and healthcare professionals.
