About this community
The McAuley was founded in 1988 by the Sisters of Mercy on The Mercy Community campus and is home to more than 200 people. The community offers independent living and assisted living in private apartments, with chef-prepared dining, housekeeping and transportation. Together with Saint Mary Home next door, The McAuley forms The Mercy Community, so round-the-clock skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation and memory care are available on the same property.

Care & support
Assisted living at The McAuley includes 24-hour licensed care and a 24-hour concierge.
The care team works with each assisted living resident to determine help with activities of daily living, either coordinating with an existing care team or designing a customized plan of care.
Short-term rehabilitation after surgery or injury, as well as long-term or memory care, is available through skilled nursing care at Saint Mary Home on the same campus.
Rooms & living spaces
Assisted living residences are studio, one- or two-bedroom pet-friendly apartments with a full-size kitchen and an emergency pull cord.
Assisted living rates include weekly housekeeping and linen service, utilities (electric, heat, air conditioning and water), and interior equipment and appliance maintenance.
Independent living residences include an emergency medical pendant, utilities, satellite TV and Wi-Fi, bi-weekly housekeeping and a private balcony.
Pets are welcome under the community's pet policy and guidelines, and restrictions may apply based on size, breed and demeanor.
Dining & meals
Residents can have chef-prepared meals for lunch or dinner in the main dining room, with made-from-scratch entrees and desserts.
The McAuley Cafe is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and some weekends, with grab-and-go lunches, a daily hot lunch special, soup, made-to-order sandwiches, salads and smoothies.
Activities & connection
Residents can join social, cultural, intellectual and fitness activities as much as they wish, and assisted living residents also have programming in a more intimate setting with fewer participants.
Creative spaces include a wood shop, greenhouse, outdoor garden boxes, a floral design space and art exhibitions.
Shared spaces & amenities
Amenities include a salon and spa, fitness center, resident library, a lounge with indoor and outdoor putting greens, a fireside lounge and an interfaith meditation room.
Local transportation to medical and religious appointments is provided for assisted living residents.
