Care & support
Services in assisted living include medication administration, an emergency call bell system, consultation with physicians, and regular blood pressure and weight checks.
Care attendants provide a weekly bath and personal laundry, and housekeeping is done weekly. A foot care nurse and weekly lab visits are available for a nominal fee.
The community takes a holistic approach to physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social needs, and residents take part in developing their own plan of care.
Rooms & living spaces
Assisted living rooms are pet-friendly private studio-style rooms with a 3-piece bathroom, in-suite temperature control and window coverings. The rooms are unfurnished so residents can bring their own belongings.
Independent living suites come in one- and two-bedroom layouts in eleven styles. Each has a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Many suites have walkouts to a patio area, and the Aspen suites each have their own private patio and garden area.
Dining & meals
Assisted living residents are served three meals a day in the dining room, with tray service during illness. Independent living suites include lunch and dinner daily.
A private dining room is available for entertaining guests.
Activities & connection
Activity programs are planned under the Director of Recreation and are flexible, drawing on residents' interests and talents to encourage socialization and independence.
Offerings include community outings, indoor games such as bingo, shuffleboard and bowling, monthly birthday parties, church services, horticulture, pet visitation, exercise classes and in-house movie matinees.
Shared spaces & amenities
Lounges and sunrooms include a piano bar, games area, media room and library. The library lounge has computers with Internet access, and the lower lounge doubles as a games room with a pool table.
Outdoor spaces include patios and gardens and a lounge with a balcony overlooking the park.
The building has central air conditioning, individual heating and cooling controls, laundry facilities for personal use, adjacent parking and a guest suite for out-of-town visitors.
Accessibility
The community owns a 14-passenger van with handicap access for resident outings.
