The PMI unit specializes in adults 65 and older experiencing chronic mental illness, dementia and behavioral health concerns.
A psychiatrist regularly evaluates each resident and their psychotropic medications, working with the IMPACT Team of physicians, ARNPs and nurses who monitor each resident's medical needs at least once every sixty days.
Each PMI resident has an individualized, behaviorally based program plan written by the Director of Behavioral Health after twenty-one days on the unit.
In addition to licensed nurses and caregivers, the PMI unit staffs a Director of Behavioral Health, a social worker and a designated recreation aide.
