Care & support
Resident care staff are on duty 24 hours a day, including at night, and each room has a wall call button plus an extended call button on a cord that can be attached to the pillow.
Staff assist with bathing or showering based on each resident's level of need while encouraging independence, and a registered nurse supervisor oversees resident care. Medications are administered by trained resident care head aides.
Respite stays are offered for women who want a shorter stay before or in place of a permanent move.
Rooms & living spaces
Residents have private accommodations in a three-story building on Columbia Boulevard that opened in 1925.
Everyday life
Personal laundry service is included, with a weekly laundry day for each resident, and residents schedule hair appointments through the resident care department.
Residents may come and go by signing out, visitors are welcome any day and time, and residents can open a petty cash account in the business office.
Dining & meals
Breakfast is served at 7:45 am, lunch at 12:00 pm and supper at 5:30 pm in the dining room, where tables seat four or five people.
The menu lists alternative food choices, and residents with dietary restrictions can let the resident care department know so the kitchen can plan for them.
Activities & connection
Residents receive a monthly activity calendar on the first of each month. Activities are open to everyone, and most are at no extra charge apart from trips and outings.
