How are long-term care charges set?
Ontario sets long-term care rates. A standard-room co-payment may be subsidized based on a person’s income, and eligibility for a reduction is determined with the resident.
What charges apply to convalescent and respite stays?
Convalescent care is provided at no cost, though items such as a telephone cost extra. Short-stay/respite care has a daily rate; contact Maple Health Centre for current charge details.
