Hesperus East is a supportive housing building where priority goes to seniors who meet the financial eligibility requirements and who also need assistance with daily living.
Rooms & living spaces
Hesperus East, built in 1987, has units with a kitchen, private bathroom and electric baseboard heating, without air conditioning. Main floor apartments have walk-out access to private garden areas.
Hesperus West, built in 2011, has apartments with kitchenettes and no stoves, with central heating and cooling year-round and a laundry room and lounge on the main floor.
Half of the units in Hesperus East are rent-geared-to-income, and half of the units in Hesperus West are offered through a rent-assisted program managed by York Region.
