Care & support
Independent living includes registered nursing staff on site 24/7, an in-house physician or the option to keep a personal physician, and an emergency call system with 24-hour response and safety checks at mealtimes.
Independent Living Plus lets residents stay in their independent living suite with added assistance, such as medication monitoring and dispensing, bathing, transfers and help with dressing.
Assisted living is for residents who need more care and attention. Care floors have registered nursing staff on site around the clock, medication supervision and administration, and nighttime rounds every two hours.
Assisted living memory care is reserved for memory-impaired residents in a unit with an open door concept, and staff are trained to meet their social and therapeutic needs.
Rooms & living spaces
Suite styles include The Sandringham, The Balmoral, The Cambridge, The Kent, Double Kent and The York. The Balmoral has a bedroom, living room, balcony and closet space, and The Cambridge has a large balcony and a walk-in closet.
Assisted living suites are private studio-size rooms with a Juliet balcony, a private washroom and individually controlled heating and air conditioning.
Everyday life
Independent living includes weekly housekeeping with linen service and all in-house activities, while care floors have daily housekeeping Monday through Friday and daily group laundry and bed making.
Dining & meals
Meals are served in a spacious dining room attached to the English Garden, and the menu is planned by the Head Chef and a nutritionist.
Specialty coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold beverages are always available to residents and their guests, and three meals daily plus snacks are included on the care floors.
Activities & connection
The recital hall hosts live entertainment, and the lounge is a place to play cards, enjoy games or read.
Memory care residents join the daily Britonian Club activities program, which includes baking, gardening, games, theatre arts, musical entertainment and intergenerational programs.
Shared spaces & amenities
The English Garden has flowers, waterfalls and abundant plant life, and a glass-domed, year-round salt-water pool is available.
Thai Breezes is an indoor beach area with sunlight simulators, and the exercise room offers recumbent stationary bicycles, free weights and resistance machines.
In warmer months the outdoor courtyard is a social space where barbecues are held.
Accessibility
Handrails are in all hallways on the care floors, bathrooms have safety bars, and a therapeutic bath area is located on the 8th floor.
