Horizon House is a Life Plan Community in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood, founded in 1961, with a resident-led culture of intellectual curiosity and self-expression. The community offers independent living with home maintenance included, plus assisted living and memory support on campus in the main tower. Residents take part in more than 70 resident-led programs, from environmental policy and philosophy to woodworking and the arts.

Care & support

Assisted living is in the main tower and includes 24/7 onsite nursing care, medication management, health monitoring and physician coordination.

Memory Support is a dedicated neighborhood in the main tower for residents living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, with 24/7 staffing and monitoring, structured daily programs, personalized care plans and onsite nursing around the clock.

The Bistro offers made-to-order options and grab-and-go selections and includes a small market for common grocery items.

The private dining room and the 19th floor Sky Lounge can be reserved for gatherings, and a full catering menu is available.

Activities & connection

Assisted living and independent living residents take part in the same 70-plus resident-led programs, and a Life Enrichment team learns residents' interests.

Programming includes elections forums, world concerns programs and committees on topics such as the environment and neighborhoods.

Anderson Hall hosts resident-led concerts, lectures, film screenings and community meetings.

Shared spaces & amenities

Shared spaces include a library, the Fireside Lounge with a coffee bar, the Sky Lounge, creative workshop rooms, a chapel, and outdoor terraces and gardens.

The fitness center has daily classes for all ability levels, and the aquatic center and the Balance, Exercise, & Mobility (BEAM) Program support strength and stability.

Services include concierge, maintenance, housekeeping, valet parking, a business center, a hair and nail salon and a 24-hour security team.
