Assisted living at The Oaks Health Center includes licensed nursing staff available 24 hours a day through an emergency call system in every apartment, assistance with medication administration and daily living, and individualized care plans.
On-site health services also include skilled nursing and rehabilitation, as well as home care for independent living residents.
Heartfelt Connections is a person-centered, activity-focused program for residents affected by Alzheimer's or other dementias, building individualized programming around each resident's abilities and interests.
Rooms & living spaces
Independent living cottages have one or two bedrooms, a deck, a den or sunporch and an attached garage. Townhomes have one or two bedrooms, full kitchens and an attached garage, and apartment villas have one or two bedrooms with a deck and/or den.
Independent living homes include fully equipped kitchens with full-size appliances, walk-in closets, a private balcony or deck and covered parking.
Assisted living residences are private apartments in the Sycamore and Magnolia Neighborhoods.
Everyday life
Independent living includes weekly housekeeping, maintenance of residences, landscaping and public spaces, and utilities such as electricity, gas, water, sewer and trash removal.
Concierge services, an on-site mail service and scheduled transportation to nearby shopping, medical appointments and other destinations are available.
Assisted living includes housekeeping, basic cable service, all utilities except telephone, guest parking and scheduled transportation to local medical appointments.
Dining & meals
Restaurant-style dining with professional wait staff is offered in the main dining rooms and a casual bistro, and a private dining room can be reserved for special occasions.
Dining options include a fine dining menu, carry-out and home delivery, and special dietary needs can be met. Outdoor dining is popular in mild weather.
Activities & connection
Social and activity programs include guest speakers, entertainment, dances and day trips, along with in-house lectures and scheduled exercise and fitness classes.
Assisted living residents have a full calendar of social, cultural, recreational and spiritual activities.

Shared spaces include The Island Club, a lounge and screened-in veranda, a library, The Palmetto Club and walking trails.
Assisted living residents have a comfortable living room, TV and media rooms, a library and a dining room, plus a community beauty salon and barbershop.
