Care & support
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, The Highlands offers a full continuum of care on campus, so residents can stay in the community if their health needs change.
The Type A Life Care contract includes housing, services, amenities and unlimited health care at the same monthly service fee.
Services include emergency response, home care services and physician services.
Rooms & living spaces
Independent living includes one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom with den apartments, with floor plans from 429 to 1,400 square feet, plus villas, Gaelsong residences and The Vistas at Fox Hill.
Apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, an individually controlled HVAC unit, an emergency call system, a patio or balcony and large windows, and the campus buildings have connecting corridors.
Dining & meals
Residents can choose among three dining venues: the formal Terrace Room, the Wyomissing Club Room with happy hour and cocktails, and the casual Bistro.
The Bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a daily lunch and dinner buffet, and a private dining room is available for special occasions.
Activities & connection
The calendar includes on- and off-campus activities, clubs and classes, plus socials, movies, parties and cultural programs.
Shared spaces & amenities
Amenities include an indoor heated saltwater swimming pool, a gym with a fitness coordinator, a salon and spa, library, art studio, gift shop and guest suites.
Recreation includes billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, a putting green, a community garden and miles of walking trails.
Concierge, transportation, housekeeping, home maintenance and groundskeeping services are offered to residents.
