Care focuses on each resident's interests, rituals and routines, capabilities and lifestyle preferences.
All staff, including those in housekeeping, maintenance and dietary, are trained in how to relate to people with memory impairment, including how to engage, redirect and nurture in a positive direction.
Families are welcome to take part in life enrichment programs and to attend ongoing support groups.

Special events include wine and cheese socials, weekly cookouts from late spring through early fall and holiday parties, and local Maine vendors deliver fresh fruits and vegetables several times a week.
