At The Retreat, residents receive 24/7 assistance with bathing, dressing, meals, medication management and other activities of daily living, in a licensed assisted living residence housed in a former physician's home.
Services at The Retreat include help with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility and medications, as well as dementia care and hospice support. The Retreat is not a skilled nursing facility.
Every independent living apartment has a 24-hour emergency call system.
Rooms & living spaces
Independent living apartments are studios of 480 square feet, one-bedrooms of 740 square feet, and two-bedrooms of 1,220 or 1,480 square feet.
Each apartment includes a private patio or balcony, air conditioning, grab bars in the bath or shower, spacious closets, and an assigned underground parking space. Studios have a kitchenette, and one- and two-bedroom apartments have a full-size kitchen and a gas fireplace.
The community has a pet-friendly philosophy.

The team provides housekeeping and laundry services, local transportation and assigned underground parking.
Residents of The Retreat receive daily housekeeping and weekly laundry, three meals a day with snacks anytime, and daily activities.

A flexible dining plan includes a monthly allowance for lunch and dinner. A separate dining space is available for special occasions, and live music and seasonal holiday meals are offered.

A monthly calendar of social, educational and recreational activities includes a walking group, bridge, poker, bingo, Scrabble, yoga, needle arts, shopping excursions, field trips and technology workshops.
Daily exercise classes alternate between stretching, yoga, chair tai chi and pool exercise in summer. Residents can use the heated swimming pool and jacuzzi year round.
