Cassellholme is implementing evidence-based Clinical Pathways recommended by the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario, which guide nurses to observe and assess residents based on their current health status.
A Behavioural Support Transition Unit provides specialized, transitional care for people with dementia or age-related cognitive impairments.
The home added another Nurse Practitioner and increased personal support worker shifts.
Cassellholme Community Support Services provides personal support workers and homemakers to help seniors in the District of Nipissing live safely and as independently as possible in their own homes.
Rooms & living spaces
Staff help each resident create a warm, welcoming space to call home. Air conditioning is not available in resident bedrooms.
Dining & meals
A Friday night dinner is provided in the Garden Room at Cassellholme as part of the Diners' Club dining program.
Activities & connection
Recent programs have included BBQ lunches, bingo, nail care, music therapy, fitness, outdoor walks, a pub cart and garden visits.
