Care & support

Assisted living is a part of the aging in place continuum of care, with a personalized care plan and staff on hand around the clock.

Assisted living covers morning and evening care and dressing, shower assistance, medication management, blood glucose monitoring and hearing aid assistance, with round-the-clock response to medical emergencies.

Aging in place lets residents stay in the same community and receive more help as their needs change, without moving elsewhere.

Respite care offers short-term stays, typically from a few days up to a month, in a fully furnished suite. A Licensed Practical Nurse visits beforehand to confirm that care needs can be met.

Rooms & living spaces

Independent living suites have one or two bedrooms, with a choice of 23 floor plans, underground parking and storage, individual heat and air control, a dishwasher and large balconies.

Supportive living suites are rentals with one or two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, and include housekeeping, an in-suite emergency response system and all utilities except telephone, cable and internet.

Assisted living suites are studio or one-bedroom rentals, with large wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, kitchenettes and bright bedrooms.

A Life Lease gives the right to occupy a suite for a long period, often a lifetime, and is offered as an alternative to buying a condo. The community is pet-free and smoke-free and is for adults 55 or older.

Eleven full-housekeeping guest suites are located throughout the community, each with queen-sized beds, linens, television and internet, so visiting family can stay nearby.

Dining & meals

Meals are homestyle dishes prepared by a Red Seal chef, with locally sourced fresh ingredients used where possible and attention to dietary needs and preferences.

Supportive living includes one main meal a day. Assisted living includes lunch and dinner daily with table service in the dining room.

Residents can dine in the main dining room or host family and friends in one of the private dining rooms. A monthly special dinner event called Neighbourfest features foods from around the world.

Activities & connection

Activities are planned and supervised by a team led by a certified Recreation Therapist, and cover fitness, social, learning and spiritual programs. Wellness and recreation programs include chaplain services.

Special events include monthly birthday parties with local bands, Mother's Day teas, Older Adults Day and holiday celebrations.

Shared spaces & amenities

Shared spaces include lounges, a library, a chapel, sunrooms, a fitness room, workshops, and pool, games and crafts tables. A Garden Lounge, a beauty salon and a private 40,000 sq. ft. park are also on site.
