Included services are personal care assistance, an awake caregiver at night, medication management, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and hospice care if and when needed.

Medication technicians administer physician-ordered medications and report on their effects to the resident's doctor and family. All caregivers are cross-trained to administer medications, and the home uses a digital tool (eMAR) to record them.

The home uses behavioral therapy approaches that rely on consistent, well-trained staff who communicate effectively. The staff-to-resident ratio is high, which gives caregivers time for physical and emotional care.

Because the home is small, residents can follow a schedule they prefer rather than one set by shift changes. Housekeeping and laundry, transportation to doctor appointments and a hospital visitor program are included.

The home provides home-cooked, nutritious meals and snacks, and grows organic leafy greens and herbs.

A daily exercise program centers on an exercise circle with weights, exercise bands, stationary bikes, balloon toss and a sing-along. Individualized exercise plans such as walking, sit-to-stand and range-of-motion exercises are also available.

Scheduled activities include bingo, cards, dominos, arts and crafts, karaoke and Wii bowling. Music, pet and art therapies and gardening are offered based on residents' needs and abilities.

Staff accompany residents on outings to places such as a movie, the Bellagio Garden, Ethel M's or a park. The home also holds monthly theme parties and events and hosts volunteers and entertainers.
