Care & support
The BriaCare Centre provides 24-hour licensed care by nurses and care aides, with help with dressing, hygiene and mobility.
Care includes a nurse-call system, wander management, pharmacist-led medication management and regular nutritional assessment by a registered dietician.
Independent living residents have priority access to the on-site care centre, and staff help families with the move to a care suite when needs change.
Rooms & living spaces
Independent living suites include the Rosewood, Cottonwood, Wedgewood and Dogwood plans, ranging from about 406 to 698 square feet, and kitchens have a sink, stovetop, refrigerator and microwave shelf.
Suites have balconies, in-floor radiant heating, large picture windows and bathrooms with walk-in showers, seats and grab bars. Pet-friendly suites are available.
BriaCare Centre suites are 275 to 300 square feet, each with a private washroom, large window, closet and hospital bed, and residents can add their own decor and furniture.
Everyday life
The monthly fee includes weekly housekeeping, weekly flat linen and towel laundry service, electricity, water and cable, and a maintenance technician is on site.
The community has a staffed reception centre around the clock, a personal emergency alert system, a daily check-in service and a keyless locking system.
An 18-passenger bus makes scheduled trips, and a courtesy shuttle takes residents on local personal trips.
Dining & meals
Three meals a day are prepared in house by a team led by a Red Seal certified Executive Chef, with gluten-free, vegetarian and specialty options and open seating during dining room hours.
A private dining room is available at the community.
Activities & connection
A daily schedule of fitness, activities, social events and entertainment is offered, with regular group outings on the Bria Bus for shopping and sight-seeing.
Twice-weekly social hours feature entertainment and bar service, and programming built with Welbi technology supports seven dimensions of wellness.
BriaCare Centre residents have trained therapeutic recreation staff, music therapy, courtyard gardening and fitness, and daily fitness, music, arts and game programs.
Shared spaces & amenities
Building amenities include a private courtyard with a walking path and water feature, a beauty salon and barber shop, a guest suite, billiards and poker tables, a library with a computer, a corner store and a pub.
