Long-term care is designed for people who can no longer be cared for at home or in assisted living, supporting physical and emotional needs over months or years.
Care teams work with families to tailor individualized care plans, including end-of-life care, and receive enhanced palliative care training through a partnership with Pallium Canada.
Residents and family members take an active part in developing the resident's Care Plan.

Accommodation choices include private rooms and shared rooms (semi-private, basic or standard). In shared rooms, residents are matched by gender and, where possible, by similar interests and compatible routines.
In warmer months the home offers in-room air conditioning and universal access to designated cooling areas, including for meals and group activities.
Residents and families are encouraged to bring personal items and furnishings from home to personalize rooms.
Everyday life
A Guardian Angel program pairs each new resident and family with one person who greets them on the first day, introduces them to staff and other residents, and helps with unpacking. Each new resident also receives a welcome basket with personal items, toiletries and a lap blanket.
Visitors are welcome seven days a week with no specific visiting hours, and family members are encouraged to bring pets when visiting, with proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
The home hosts regular education meetings for family members and publishes a newsletter every other month. The Family Council holds an annual Family Day each summer.

A private dining room can be reserved for family or group celebrations and dinners.

Activities include music programs for residents with dementia, worship services, exercise classes and visits with volunteers.
Weekly outings include shopping trips, lunches, movies, boat tours, picnics, dinner at the Legion and Kingston Frontenac hockey games.
Community events include an annual Christmas bazaar, a summer garage sale and a Halloween parade with children from the local day care. Local elementary school students, Brownies and Girl Guides also visit through an intergenerational program.
