Long-term care is designed for people who can no longer be cared for at home or in assisted living, supporting physical and emotional needs over months or years.
The home has specialists in wound care, continence care, end of life care, chronic disease management and dementia care, and works with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dentists, podiatrists and beauticians. Additional fees may apply for some of these services.
Care teams work with families to tailor individualized care plans, including end-of-life care, and receive enhanced palliative care training through a partnership with Pallium Canada.
A Medical Director coordinates clinical services in the home, and the Director of Care supervises the nursing team.
Rooms & living spaces
Private rooms are available, including a private bathroom. Shared rooms (semi-private, basic or standard) are matched by gender and compatible routines.
All rooms are fully furnished with a bed, closet or wardrobe, chair and bedside table, and bedding and linens are provided.
Everyday life
New residents and families are welcomed with a meeting with the primary caregiver, introductions to department heads, a Guardian Angel program, welcome baskets and welcome events. A regular Friendship Social introduces new residents to the community.
Family supports include a family function space, a social worker-supported group lunch for family members, monthly newsletters and memorial services.
Visitors are welcome seven days a week with no specific visiting hours.

The dietary team includes registered dietitians, cooks (including certified Red Seal chefs) and dietary aides.
Activities & connection
The activity calendar includes music programs for residents with dementia, worship services, exercise classes and visits with volunteers, led by recreation program leaders and certified activity aides.
Residents who are able are encouraged to go on outings such as shopping trips. Community involvement includes an intergenerational program, Family Fun Day, a city food drive and holiday activities.
