Short-term rehabilitation helps people recovering from a hospital stay, surgery, illness or injury, with physical, occupational and speech therapy available 7 days a week.

Physical therapy focuses on strength, balance and coordination. Occupational therapy works on skills such as eating, dressing and writing, and speech therapy addresses communication, mouth dexterity and, if necessary, safe chewing and swallowing.

Long-term care staff assist with daily living activities such as getting dressed, showering and medication management.

The Dogwood Neighborhood is a specialized memory care area with private suites, 24-hour supervision, an activities director and a dedicated dining room.

The Heartfelt Connections program is a person-centered approach for residents living with dementia that focuses on what remains rather than what has been lost.

The care team includes physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, social workers, dietitians and an activities coordinator who create a plan for each resident.

Private and semi-private room options are available.

Long-term accommodations are fully furnished, including cable, WiFi and phone, and residents are encouraged to bring personal items. Pets are welcome.

The Preston Spa provides supervised bathing, and every room has a 24-hour call-in system that summons help in an emergency.

Family and friends are encouraged to visit without restrictions, sharing a meal in the dining room, relaxing in the courtyard or leaving campus to explore Hilton Head.

Dining options are prepared by the culinary team at The Cypress, and memory care residents have a private dining room reserved for the Dogwood Neighborhood.

An in-house activities director creates a diverse social calendar designed to encourage social interaction.
