About this community

Woodside Senior Communities is a faith-based, non-profit campus for adults age 55 and older, situated on 18 park-like acres in Ashwaubenon in the greater Green Bay area of Wisconsin. It has been providing health care and housing for more than 50 years. The campus includes Woodside Lutheran Home (skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and memory care), Woodside Manor (assisted living), Woodside Villa (memory care assisted living), Woodside Oaks (independent living for age 55 and older) and Woodside Haven (income-based independent living for age 62 and older). Because the campus offers a full continuum of housing and health care services, residents can move between levels of care as their needs change.

Care & support

Woodside Lutheran Home provides skilled nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nurses help with intravenous therapy, diabetic management, wound care and medication management.

Physical, occupational and speech therapy are available seven days a week for short-term rehabilitation stays and outpatient therapy. The therapy center has a model apartment and a car for practicing transfers, and the average rehabilitation stay is about two weeks.

Woodside Lutheran Home has a memory care unit with specially trained staff and activities designed for people experiencing memory loss. Woodside Villa also offers memory care assisted living with help with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting and medication assistance.

Woodside Manor is a community based residential facility for age 55 and older. It has a full-time registered nurse and trained medical staff available around the clock, and also offers respite stays of 5 to 90 days in a furnished apartment.

Rooms & living spaces

Short-term rehabilitation stays are in private suites with a private bathroom and shower.

Woodside Manor has one and two bedroom assisted living apartments with a private patio or balcony and a kitchenette. Residents bring their own furnishings.

Woodside Haven offers one bedroom apartments for adults age 62 and older with low incomes, with rent based on 30% of annual income. Each apartment has an emergency call system and building access is controlled.

Dining & meals

Woodside Lutheran Home serves homemade meals, including therapeutic and special diets created by a registered dietitian. At Woodside Manor, all meals are homemade, three meals a day are provided, and dining accommodates diabetic, low sodium and gluten free needs.

Woodside Oaks has a dining room with an outdoor patio and a cafe where residents can buy entrees, snacks, desserts and beverages.

Activities & connection

Life enrichment programs include bingo, painting, gardening, music and dancing, arts and crafts, happy hours, holiday parties and pet therapy visits. Woodside Manor and Woodside Villa also offer Cycling Without Age trishaw rides.

Wellness Services offer one-to-one personal training and group exercise, including walking the Brown County nature trails, swimming at the Ashwaubenon Community Center, drumming and kick boxing. Fitness equipment designed for older adults is available, and the services carry a fee based on what is used.

A campus chapel and a full-time Lutheran pastor provide worship services and Bible studies, and people of all faiths are welcome.

Woodside Lutheran Home has lounges and outdoor spaces for visiting, on-site beauty and barber services, scheduled transportation, a chapel, and cable TV and telephone service.

Woodside Oaks has a library, computer and crafting room, aviary, pub and game room, fitness center, beauty and barber shop, covered patio and gardening spaces.

The campus is in Ashwaubenon, close to retail shops and restaurants. Woodside Oaks is just blocks from Lambeau Field.
