Chancellor's Village is an independent living and assisted living community on Chancellors Village Lane in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a few minutes from downtown. It opened in 1991 on 15 wooded acres. Residents live in one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a private balcony or patio, a fully equipped kitchen and an in-unit washer and dryer. Small pets are welcome. Care & support
Assisted living includes 24-hour personal care assistance, medication management, an activities program and laundry services. A professional nurse is on site or on call.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy are provided through a partnership with FOX Therapy Rehabilitation, in the resident's apartment or the therapy gym. Fitness programs include strength, resistance, stability and balance work.
Rooms & living spaces
Floor plans include one-bedroom, one-bathroom and two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments. Features include fully equipped kitchens, a stackable washer and dryer, wall-to-wall carpeting, window blinds, additional storage and individually controlled heating and cooling.
Apartments have an emergency call system, and the community has a fire alarm and sprinkler system.
The monthly fee covers the apartment, water, electricity and cable television, weekly housekeeping and linen service, transportation and use of community amenities. Assisted living also includes internet, three meals a day and medication management.
Dining & meals
The kitchen and dining room are open for three meals every day, with daily specials alongside a rotating standard menu. Independent living includes two meals a day, and assisted living includes three.
Dining is restaurant style in an elegant dining room with chef-inspired menus, and homemade desserts and ice cream are popular with residents.
Activities & connection
Activities include card games, craft classes, personal training sessions and live musical entertainment. An events calendar offers social gatherings and recreational activities.

Grounds and shared spaces include landscaped gardens, paved walking paths, outdoor patios, courtyards, lounge areas, an activity room, a library and an on-site salon.
