Care & support
Short-term rehabilitation is designed for people restoring abilities after a stroke, cardiovascular difficulties, orthopedic surgery or other debilitating conditions, with the aim of returning home safely after a hospital stay.
Rehabilitation includes physical, occupational and speech and language therapies, supported by doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers.
Through the Road to Recovery program, the care team, the patient and family meet within the first 72 hours after admission to set discharge goals.
Long-term care is provided under the guidance of an attending physician by licensed nurses, specially trained health care aides and an interdisciplinary care team, along with social services, activities and therapies.
Respite stays are available on a short-term basis for families whose caregivers need a break, including recovery after surgery or a hospitalization.
Hospice services are offered through partnerships with local hospice companies and include skilled nursing care, spiritual and bereavement counseling, medical equipment and supplies, and social services.
The advanced pulmonary program supports patients with conditions such as COPD, tracheotomy, pneumonia and chronic emphysema, with pulmonologist consultation and on-site respiratory therapists.
Ventilator care includes respiratory therapy 24 hours a day and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified staff.
