Earl Haig does not employ nursing staff. Residents can receive visits from Fraser Health care aides or private nursing services; contact the team about arrangements. Staff can also help with a transition to a higher level of care after a health decline or injury.
Rooms & living spaces
Floor plans vary in size and layout. Listed features include walk-in showers, large windows, balconies, walk-in closets and kitchenettes. The two-bedroom Elm Suite has a combined living and dining room, a kitchen, one bathroom and a spacious balcony.
Everyday life
Housekeepers clean suites weekly. Residents can use the free washers and dryers in the building.
Dining & meals
Dining includes a self-serve continental breakfast and two home-cooked meals each day. A snack-and-juice fridge is available, and staff can store a resident’s meal there if they prefer to eat outside designated meal times.
Activities & connection
The schedule includes bingo twice a week, weekly movie nights, weekend musical entertainment and monthly birthday socials. Residents can also join exercise or yoga sessions, Wii bowling, and knitting and sewing groups.

Shared amenities include gardens, landscaped walking paths, a patio, a social lounge, a library and a public computer. The in-house beauty salon has a professional hairdresser.

Location & getting around
Two bus routes run outside the residence. Route 152 on Austin Avenue runs between Coquitlam Centre and Lougheed Mall; route 153 on Laurentian Crescent connects Coquitlam Recreation Centre and Braid Station.
There is no train station within walking distance. Braid, Lougheed Town Centre and Burquitlam stations are each less than five kilometres away, with buses and taxis available from the stations.
