Care & support
Assisted living includes access to an on-site nurse, medication management, vitals monitoring, and help with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing.
The Care Assist program offers a la carte services and all-inclusive care packages, ranging from light to heavy care. Examples include help with morning and evening routines, bathing, continence care, meal assistance, and oxygen and CPAP support.
A call bell system in each suite and staff on site 24 hours a day provide support. A Health & Wellness Manager conducts an assessment before move-in to confirm the right level of care.
Independent living residents have access to visiting professionals and support services, including a blood pressure clinic, support groups and a visiting podiatrist.
Rooms & living spaces
The main residence has studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens. Suites include a patio or balcony, individual thermostat, in-suite air-conditioning, a personal mailbox and storage.
The cottages have two bedrooms and a full kitchen with a fridge, stove and dishwasher, plus in-suite laundry, private parking, lawn and garden care, and snow removal.
Rent includes utilities, weekly housekeeping and linen service, two meals daily, telephone, cable TV and an emergency response system. Pets are welcome.
Dining & meals
Meals are served in the dining room from a diverse menu with daily features and an a la carte menu. Daily soups are made from scratch, and special diets are accommodated.
The residence also has a bistro for coffee and snacks and a bar/lounge serving wine and beer.
Activities & connection
Activities include chair yoga, an exercise program, live entertainment, billiards, crafts, cultural holiday celebrations and food tasting events. Outings go to local restaurants, art galleries, concerts and the Chilliwack Tulip Festival.
Shared spaces & amenities
Amenity spaces include a lounge, library, salon, movie theatre, activity room and a multi-functional room for billiards, bridge and hearts. Indoor and outdoor parking and a shuttle service are available.
Location & getting around
The residence is on Patten Avenue near the Landing Leisure Centre, an art gallery, a cultural centre and Chilliwack General Hospital. Restaurants and shops in the downtown area are close by.
