Care & support
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services include a restorative care program, and each new resident is assessed soon after admission to determine a suitable physiotherapy regime.
Programs include ambulation training, dynamic balance training, range of motion exercises, activities of daily living training, aerobics for seniors and tub therapy.
Residents are assigned an Attending Physician at admission, and may keep their own family physician if the physician meets Ministry of Long Term Care requirements.
Chaplaincy and spiritual care services and a Social Services Coordinator are available.
Rooms & living spaces
All resident rooms have an ensuite washroom and are furnished with a bed, night table, clothes closet and chair; residents and families are encouraged to decorate with personal items.
The home offers private rooms and basic rooms, where two residents share a room and ensuite bathroom.
Televisions, radios, telephones and computers are welcome in all rooms, and cell phones and wireless internet are permitted.
Everyday life
Resident and Family Councils, multicultural and recreational activities and the Seniors in Cyberspace program are among the resident programs, and monthly program calendars are published for each home area.
The home follows an open hours visitation policy, and families are encouraged to visit regularly.
Residents may take overnight leaves of up to 48 hours per week, and extended leaves or vacations of up to 21 days can be accommodated.
Dining & meals
Meals are cooked fresh each day in the on-site kitchen and served in the dining room, with two entree choices at each meal, three meals a day and snacks between meals.
Special diets including diabetic, vegetarian and no-pork are offered, and therapeutic diets are part of the programs.
A Residents Food Committee gives residents a say in menu planning, and meals take cultural and individual preferences into account.

On-site amenities include a hair salon, a resident laundromat, banking, laundry and labelling services, and a rehabilitation gym.
