The community provides a continuum of care that includes independent living, assisted living and supportive care for long-term conditions, with onsite health care services and a Health Care Center.

Rooms & living spaces
Apartments range from one-bedroom units of about 1,000 square feet, such as The Chester, to two-bedroom units with dens and a penthouse of about 2,480 square feet. Most have balconies.
The Chester has ten-foot ceilings, a large living space, a walk-in closet and an enclosed balcony overlooking the bay.
Covered parking is available, and pets are welcome, including dogs and cats of all breeds.
Everyday life
Residents can swim in the bay off the dock, use the library overlooking the water and boardwalk, and take part in resident clubs and interest groups. An Activities Committee meets monthly.
Scheduled local transportation in community vehicles covers sponsored events, grocery shopping and church, and a handicap-accessible bus is provided.

Dining venues include a restaurant-style dining room with table service, a bistro, a cocktail lounge, carry-out service and a private dining room for special occasions. Professional chefs prepare meals on site.

Events include lectures and seminars, art openings, movie nights, theme dinners, visiting performing artists, concerts, holiday picnics and parties, and social and coffee hours.
The fitness center has strength machines, treadmills and a pool and spa. Classes include yoga, water aerobics and circuit training, and a Fitness Coordinator offers introductory sessions and one-on-one training.
Shared spaces & amenities
Outdoor features include a croquet court, putting green, walking trails to the water and through nearby woods, a waterfront boardwalk and pier, and a newly constructed deck overlooking the water.

The community sits on 14 wooded acres on the Chesapeake Bay, near Baltimore and Washington, D.C., with access to Annapolis and its naval history and cultural activities.
