Care services include medication distribution, blood sampling, health monitoring, therapeutic baths, and help with eating and getting around. Some services are included and others are offered a la carte.

Care unit residents have a care package that covers blood sugar checks, blood pressure checks and help with daily living, and a nurse is available around the clock.

Safety features include a fully concrete building, sprinklers, fire doors, no-movement detectors, call bells in the apartments and a help-call system.

The residence offers studios, 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 apartments, and rooms in the care unit for people with reduced autonomy. Units include a private bathroom and a private balcony.

Apartment rent for autonomous residents includes electricity, hot water, two snacks a day and a balcony, with housekeeping once a week or twice a month.

Care unit rooms include a medical bed, a self-locking chair, a wardrobe, a dresser, towels and toiletries.

The dining room offers two menu choices at each meal plus 10 a la carte choices, on a four-week cycle menu with special event meals and a catering service. Adapted diets are available on request, and meals follow Canada's Food Guide.

Meals are included for care unit residents.

Activities include physical activities, cards, cinema, a library, gardens, a small farm, creative workshops, shuffleboard and bean-bag games, and a residents' committee takes part in community life.

Past community moments include a walk in the neighboring park, an outdoor corn roast and a musical performance at the bistro.

Services include hairdressing and aesthetics, massage therapy by appointment, laundry, housekeeping, and basic telephone, television and internet.

Shared spaces include outdoor terraces, large lounges for visits, a spacious dining room, a large lobby and play areas for grandchildren.

The building has an elevator, wide corridors with handrails and adapted bathrooms.
