Primary diagnoses served include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, quadriplegia, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and spina bifida. Each resident and family take an active part in developing the care plan.
Services include long-term care and rehabilitation neuropsychology, with 24-hour rehabilitative and restorative nursing care.
The care team includes attending physicians, nurses, CNAs, nursing assessment coordinators, physical and occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, recreational therapists, dietitians, social workers, care managers and pastoral care staff.
Therapy services include daily occupational therapy activities, physical therapy aimed at independence, comfort and well-being, and speech and language therapy. Social work services are also provided.
Everyday life
Recreational therapy is designed to give residents a well-rounded lifestyle.
Pastoral care includes linkage with outside congregations, weekly ecumenical worship and a religious education program.
