Care & support
Care support is organized through Alberta Health Services, and the community describes an independent lifestyle with optional extra care and personalized support from an onsite nurse.
Staff are onsite 24 hours a day, and each suite has a telephone and a 24-hour emergency call system.
Private home care agencies are welcome to provide additional services, but they are not offered by Luxstone.
Short-term stays are offered in a furnished suite and include meals, access to programs and activities, weekly housekeeping and weekly linen laundry.
Rooms & living spaces
Suites include studios of roughly 260 to 350 square feet, a 525-square-foot one-bedroom and an 835-square-foot two-bedroom.
Suites have barrier-free layouts and a barrier-free shower, grab bars, and a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator and microwave. Residents furnish their own suites.
The community is pet friendly.
Everyday life
Rent includes weekly housekeeping and linen service, local telephone and cable, and wifi internet.
The bistro is open to residents around the clock, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks and fruit.
Residents have on-site parking and outdoor snow removal, and the community has a resident council.

Three meals a day are served in the common dining room. Breakfast is self-serve and continental style.
Meals are chef-prepared, and every menu is approved by a licensed dietitian.

Planned outings use a wheelchair-accessible bus with a lift, with trips for local shopping, events, festivals, parks and restaurants.
